Springtime and New Beginnings

When I was little, my mom had a gorgeous vintage charm bracelet that she’d had since she was a little girl.  My three favorite charms were Noah’s Ark, Jonah in the whale (and I loved this one because the whales’ mouth opened, and you could see Jonah sitting inside the whale!) and my third favorite charm was a door. My mom told me the door was the door to Heaven, and the only way to open it was to pray and admit you were sinful, and then ask Jesus to come into your life.  A few months later, I said this prayer, kneeling by our couch with my mom.  I was just a little girl, but I remember wanting to be part of God’s family.

My dad was serving in Vietnam as a Chaplain and my mom wrote and told him what I had done. I remember drawing two mountains. One had black clouds over it, and the other had soft, white clouds, and I was standing on the white, soft hill smiling, with the sun shining on me.  How easy, right?  But it IS that easy.  The Bible tells us in John 10:9-10:

I am the door. If anyone enters by me, he will be saved and will go in and out and find pasture. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.”

God IMMEDIATELY takes us in as one of his own.  He will never leave us or forsake us.

YES, we will go through challenging times, but He will be there to see us through.  How extraordinary is that?  Do you want to say that prayer and have Jesus come into your life?

Check out the link below, which will show you how to do it.  HAPPY SPRING and NEW BEGINNINGS everyone!
